NetEnt has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer. The leading gaming solutions company chose Lars Johansson to lead its financial department. His appointment comes as no surprise to many. In fact, Mr Johansson took on just recently the role of interim CFO at the Swedish firm. And so, his role confirmation tells us that he managed to show his abilities during his interim stage.
In essence, Lars Johansson has a long CV from various sectors and industries. In the past 30 years, he gained a wide experience in the financial field and held many management roles. At the same time, he covered his duties in both private and public companies. His most recent position was Senior Investment Director at Ratos AB.
Before that, he held the role of acting CEO of the same slot developing company. He also worked as a CFO in a range of entities. Swedavia AB is, for instance, one of them. In other company, his role was a joint CFO and COO. In this merged position, he acted at TV4 Group and Orc Software AB. What’s more, in the last one, he also held the role of the acting CEO.
An Important Part
As always, a thorough and detailed search process proceeded his final appointment. Yet, no other candidate managed to impress the company in a way Johansson did. And so, his interim role turned into a permanent one.
“I’m very pleased to appoint Lars Johansson as Chief Financial Officer. He brings significant experience to the role. He’s already played an important part in the ongoing change process.” Said Group CEO, Therese Hillman.
Undoubtedly, Hillman is perhaps the best person to judge Johansson abilities for the CFO job. Indeed, Hillman was the CFO for NetEnt for almost two years before accepting the CEO job only a few months ago.
