Quickspin, the leading online casino game developer, is losing one of its co-founders. In essence, Joachim Timmermans feels that, after seven years with the company, it’s time to move on. To sum up, the chief product officer is now leaving the company, and only a few years after Playtech acquired the studio.
LinkedIn Post
In short, Timmermans announced the news on LinkedIn a few days before the end of the year. After saying that he’s leaving the company, he also took a few moments to thank Daniel and Mats whom he started the company with. What’s more, the company’s top executive also hinted on the reasons behind his decision.
“The company’s doing great. We’re growing in both revenues and people. I do however feel that I played my part. So it’s time to move on,” he noted. On top of that, the outgoing CPO used the occasion to thank all his team members at Quickspin.
Final Thanks
Timmermans also acknowledged many online casino industry figures from the sector, that influenced both him personally and the company as well. In fact, he explained that Quickspin wouldn’t have known the success it has today if it wasn’t for Raf Keustermans, Jodi Moran, and Gerald Tan. He also added that the company is what it is today thanks to early success with Mirrorball Slots on Facebook.
“I personally learned a lot from the social side. And I enjoyed to work so closely with all at Plumbee,” he posted. As another milestone in his journey, he mentioned the relationship with Relax Gaming who gave Quickspin an early chance at success.
“We needed a platform, and they needed customers. We formed the perfect match. Thanks, Daniel Eskola for setting up this relationship. And also Patrik Österåker for the support all these years,” said finally the studio’s outgoing CPO.
